I hired Westchester Plumbing in mid-December 2008 to fix a gas line that had a leak. Due to a leak in my gas line whenever it rained I would get water in my line and the gas would go out. Westchester Plumbing came out to my home, tested the line and said there wasn't any leak. They sold me on changing a union and a gas valve to resolve my problem. I paid $600 and I was given a 10 year warranty.
Now it's been 1 year and the rain season is back. All of a sudden I have no gas again. After pressure testing the gas line, of course....it still loses pressure meaning I still have a leak. The owner Ray Hernandez explained that although the gas line is dropping in pressure he didn't believe there was/is anything wrong with the line and that he would not come out to re-evaluate and resolve the problem. I told him he charged me $600 for nothing and he is obligated to correct my problem. By the way, what happened to my warranty? Ray told me, "I'm too busy with other clients and you should call someone else" and then hung up in my face.
Do not do business with Westchester Plumbing they will charge you whether they can fix a problem or not. Worse of all they will not honor their own work! What type of company can charge you and not resolve anything and then hang up on you. Horrible business!
