I haven't order my wheels from this company and after my recent phone call (27 May 11) with "Operator 151," I doubt I'll order or recommend anyone to order from this company.
What I found very strange is how operator 151 adamantly explained to me if I placed an order online today (Friday), it wouldn't process until Monday. Somewhat understandable. But the reason he explained it wouldn't process wasn't due to high call volumn or order backlog. In his words, "we understand most people don't know how to order wheels, so we verify the information before we process." He went on to say, "we need to check stock of the wheels and tires they want to order." Okay, Professor Wheel Expert...lololol In any case, I allowed Operator 151 to continue speaking from his soap box and kindly asked him to check stock on the wheels I intended to order.
He initially stated they we "out of stock," but they were waiting on one customer to complete their transaction. Apparently, this customer had only paid half of the purchase price...and here I am wanting to pay in full with a few simple mouse clicks. He soon changed his story and claimed I could purchase this order since the other customer hadn't met his end of the "ya-gotta-pay-for-it-all-and-not-just-half," buuuuuut, I must place the order through him. I'm thinkin, "not." Going back to his original story of the "online" ordering process...he's checked stock and the wheels are available in the correct size (Incidently, I provided the wheel dimensions and bolt pattern...but "we" customers don't know wheels), so why can't I order online? After Operator 151 told me they had the wheel in stock, I told him I would order online. Now he tells me, "You can't order online...." Again he tells me I should order directly through him so he can check stock and correct size of the wheels and tires. Hey, wake up Operator 151...you just did! Besides, I'm only ordering wheels and not a wheel/tire package. So, if you're reasoning for not accepting online orders is based on verification of stock and correct fit (Both of which we've clearly confirmed), why can't I simply click "place order" and be done? Needless to say, it's a commission game. Or was it this comment he let slip out, "I don't know the company...." Ya think?
They may offer good deals, but the customer service is non-existent! Having served and defended my country for 25 years, I know a lil something about service. I may pay a few bucks more buying them somewhere else, but I feel it's worth the peace of mind and definitely worth the improved customer service. I suggest you do the same before making a purchase with this business.
