I had my interview today. Actually I did try to research and found a company similarly named with an excellent reputation. When I got to the office I realized things were a lot below my expectations but I am a trained interviewer and wanted to get hired. I was immediately so when They asked for the background check money it was a surprise since I was scheduled to begin work on Friday 2days from now. I have hired people and conducted background checks. I did feel the amount was excessive but read that employers are doing more of these checks. What got me is how are you doing this check after you have hired me and given me a start date? If it were an actual job with fiduciary responsibility, a background check would proceed any offer of work or training.
