Very poor company to work with, whatever stage you are at stop and go to a direct lender. Was assured my loan would be at a low rate and low cost but ended up being a bait and switch. Was told my rate was locked and it was not and they attempted to pass the cost along to me which was not part of the arrangement. They agreed to pay the rate lock extension but rolled it into the loan. They came out with the documents that were not the terms and conditions as agreed to and after three months I walked away after paying for the appraisal which I never received after requesting it. Started the process with a new lender three days later and closed and funded within three weeks. Loan officer Dennis Maise assured me verbally everything was fine and the approval delay was normal but in fact it was a tactic to bait and switch. My mistake was trusting what he said. I should've jump ship earlier and can only warn you to do the same. Their GFE was incomplete and a joke. They blame the escrow company and the escrow company blamed them for unnecessary delays. Their incompetence cost me the window of opportunity of low rates in October & November of 2010. Be careful and beware, I documented steps in e-mails but they just didn't care. One of the last things said was "things have changed and either take it or leave it." I left it!
