I wish there was an option for "zero" stars, because that's my opinion of this business. The customer service manager "Art" was very rude and argumentative over the phone. There's a reason they ask who's calling when you dial them. He won't even take my calls or respond to emails. Essentially I bought an F1 racing clutch for a '98 Dodge Viper and when assembled, caused a severe shimmy in my car. It was taken out (at my expense......several hundred extra dollars) and the pressure plate wasn't true. It was measured with a Snap-on straight edge and clearly tapered in towards the center all the way around. This cause the clutch disk to only engage on the outer perimeter. Besides, the clutch disk was too small in diameter for the pressure plate.
They wouldn't exchange the clutch for me so I purchased a stock clutch. It went in with the same flywheel (didn't even resurface it, as it was brand new) and it worked great. The same technician at the Dodge Dealership did both clutch installs. This clearly shows the clutch was at fault. They insisted my technician "contaminated" the clutch by leaving grease or oil on it. This was absolutely the worst experience I've had dealing with car parts. I will not spend another dime with Speed Solutions (Gripforce clutches) and I recommend that all my car buddies check the BBB ratings prior to buying parts online.
My VISA company refunded me the $$$ for the faulty product, but I'm still out the $400 labor it cost to reinstall the second clutch and get my car back on the road. Stay far far away from Speed Solutions!
