I ordered a camera from Rocket Camera, received it, requested a return, got the return and shipped the camera back. From this point on, my experience is like Betsy T. I was informed by Rocket Camera that an AV Cord was missing from the camera. I explained that the box was only opened once to check the color before return (Christmas present for teenage daughter). I was called a liar and a thief. Hung up on them and called the credit card company to file a dispute. Was called back by Rocket Camera later, apologizing for the previous person. They needed my credit card in order to process the refund. Was out at the time, and did not have the card. Told them I would call back, but decided to wait for American Express because I did not want to get their original representative.
2 months go by and the credit card company gave the charge back. Received a voice mail today that if I did not call back today they would file a police report for theft of a camera (same one they acknowledged receiving.) First I called the credit card company to understand exactly what happened. The entire amount of the charge was refunded yesterday. No additional adjustments since the initial call. I then called Rocket Camera and explained that they accused me of theft and demanded, in a raised voice, that they explain the theft. I kept interrupting when their agent did not answer my question. In the end, they essentially said they would have given me a refund, why go through the credit card company. I again asked what theft and was told, the AV cable I did not receive (even though in the past they had agreed to a full refund). I was then hung up on because there was no use talking to me.
I highly recommend to never do business with this company. I have never been called a liar, thief, or been threatened with legal action by a company before.
I called the credit card company back to note the account in case a criminal report is issued by Rocket Camera.
Like Betsy T., had the person on the other end of the initial call been reasonable, this probably would not have happened. Had they not called me a thief today, I never would have written this review.
