This store has caused many problems and does not observe fair business practices. Recently, its "manager" supposedly took off with customer orders and money around the Holidays, supposedly unknown to the proprietor. (Larry, who does not apparently give out his last name.) Instead of trying to make up the inconvenience and losses suffered by customers, the proprietor is not refunding money that the former manager issued receipts for, nor is willing to compensate for damage to customer's original fabric (mine) provided to his company.
"Like runs with like" and in this case, the former manager, chosen by the proprietor to run the shop, operates with the same ethics as the man who hired him. My order went undone and my calls were not returned by the manager or shop for weeks. Then I had to listen to a long sad story about what a thief he was and that the work hadn't been done. Thereafter, when I asked for a refund (receipt in hand), the owner refused to return my money or make up for my material having been cut and rendered useless. He will, however, "honor" the money the receipt says I paid toward ordering more work, but will not do so to give it back. He makes it up as he goes along.
This is a shop which has never heard of keeping a customer happy or taking responsibility for its designated managers. There are complaints filed w/the relative agencies to try to get the owner to do the right thing. Instead, he chooses to stonewall a customer (especially females) and dump the financial loss he suffered due to his own poor judgment in hiring onto a customer. It's a low life place with "problems" that everyone should avoid.
I had done previous business with the store, but in general did not find the proprietor very helpful or gregarious. This last order was a very small one and was submitted to a different person at the shop who seemed friendly. Customers patronizing a shop deserve to be treated fairly or have their money returned.
