I found myself with many old family pieces, and had brought them in to my jeweler to get an estimate as to what it was worth. I was very pleased with the amount they gave me, but decided to get one more opinion, brought it into Jewelry 1on 1 and am I glad I did.
The shop was nothing fancy, but didn't have to be. They did EVERYTHING in front of me (unlike the other shop), from the testing to make sure it was all gold, then the testing to see what karat everything was, then weighed each pile according to karat, and finally adding it all up and giving me the price. It turned out to be 3 times the other estimate!!
There was never any pressure, nothing was rushed, I was told it would not be a problem to take it home and think about it. I walked out with cash, after a very enjoyable meeting with Eli. Both he and his wife, Maya were warm and welcoming and I HIGHLY recommend bringing in any and all gold and silver.
