I am hoping that this review will save anybody from making the same mistake that I did and hiring It's Done Inc. and Ranni Kumgisky to do anything. I hired Ranni to do a $50k remodeling job of my master bathroom. At our first meeting, Ranni told me that I didn't have to worry about any permitting or licensing, as he would be able to include my job under others he was working on, saving me money. As a first time renovator, I unfortunately, took his advice and hired him to do the job. The work was pretty good, he used a good tile guy and his subs seemed fine. Unfortunately, he severely overcharged me for almost everything and his painters splashed paint all over the trim in several bedrooms (I also hired him for some painting and electrical work), on windows and baseboard. He installed used parts on the plumbing that were rusted and all of my faucets squeak from being installed improperly. All of these items were covered in a punch list. Ranni sent over his guys to do the punch list, but they only completed about 10% of it. Finally, I had to have my interior designer, who referred Ranni to me, hire somebody to complete the punch list, or at least the paint portion, many other things have just never been fixed. I paid my ID the final payment that Ranni would have gotten if he had finished the work. Subsequently, approximately 1 year later, my ceiling had a leak below the master bathroom. I contacted Ranni and he came over and inspected it and agreed to fix it. Prior to contacting Ranni, I had a contractor, plumber and tile expert confirm that the hot mop was installed improperly (the most important aspect of a bathroom installation). Ranni chased down the tile for my bathroom and was ready to install it when I got a mysterious email from him. The email said that he had spoken to his lawyer and that he was preparing documents and incriminating evidence against me with the IRS and home inspections agency. He also claimed in the email (which I am happy to send to you if you don't believe me) that he knew the "quick fix" for my problem and he would tell me if I absolved him of any liability for the problem. He also warned me that if I didn't comply that "There are a few more surprises I will leave unknown". I responded by acknowledging receipt of his email and telling him I was hiring somebody else, but still holding him responsible. At the same time I filed a complaint with the BBB. He sent a response warning of a slander lawsuit for my BBB complaint and warning me "I'll make everything in my power to make your life miserable". The sequence of events are fantastic and I hope that anybody considering doing business with Ranni would contact me directly. He is dishonest, not trustworthy and irrational to deal with. If you need any proof, I am happy to forward to you all of the emails I have received from him. Please do not make the same mistake I have. DO NOT HIRE IT'S DONE INC.
