I refer Hercules to my friends...

I am happy to give Hercules a reference. I have used them between eight and ten times now. My husband and I move frequently for business. I would rate them an 8 or 9 out of 10.
Mike Steinhauer is an outstanding representative for the company and communicates well, something that I am a stickler for.
My only complaint for Hercules would be the following: one, I had to deal with a woman in their LA office (her name started with an "L," Lorie, Lauren or something like that. She was rude and not very bright; however, after saying that, Mike S. came in and corrected the situation immediately.
The only other drawback is that they have a "pick up" window, as well as a delivery window, so at times it is hard to nail down exact dates of service. It would probably be much easier in your situation, as yours is only a local move. We move cross-country all the time.
Lastly, I will say that in ALL my moves (over 45 in my life), Hercules was the absolute best in not breaking ANYTHING (literally). I don't know how they manage to be so careful, but they have the Midas touch. Other companies I've used have either damaged or completely destroyed pieces of furniture, china, etc., but not Hercules.
