At the beginning of March 2011 I was searching for companies that did not charge to help me find a new house to move into with my children. I searched on line and found Global Rentals. After talking to one of the sales people at Global it was explained to me that the charge is $195.00 but if they found a place for me that the fee would go toward the down for my new rental or if I found another place on my own then I would be refunded the entire amount. The only catch explained to me is if I cancel after 90 days with them that I would lose $50.00 of the $195.00. I figured that is a win win situation so I went there at lunch and signed up. On that day they gave me about 4 properties to look at and none of them was what I was looking for as they were all duplexes and I specifically asked for a single family home. I called them to alert them that they needed to fax me what I am looking for and they first put me on hold for over 5 min's then I called them back and a very rude man stated that they were really busy and would have to call me back. However, then never did call me back. Two days later I came across a home that worked for me on my own in which I cancelled with Global and asked them to send me a refund form. I filled it out and faxed it back to them and 3 weeks later they sent me a letter stating that the refund was denied because I did not meet their time frame. I cancelled with them 3 weeks after I had started so they are not being consistant with their own contract. I intend to fight this as soon as possible as it is the prinicple of the matter and I suggest all who have dealt with this company and lost money need to do the same.
