I had one of the worst experiences of my life dealing with this company. I bought renter's insurance and wanted to get earthquake insurance. After four days of needless back and forth e-mails where my "agent" would not give yes/no answers to yes/no questions, they asked me to call and then began to yell at me in frustration. I asked to speak to their supervisor. As soon as I asked for that they hung up the phone. When I called back I asked the receptionist to speak to the manager but my call was intercepted by the same agent who refused to pass on the call. She hung up again. I called back again later when her radar was down and was able to speak to the manager who told me the agent had already gone around claiming that I had been completely out-of-control, cursing, and being rude. My friend in the room laughed as they heard the supervisor tell me this as I haven't cursed in three years, saying things like, "Flub," instead (which rest assured I didn't use in the conversation either). Quite simply, this employee was making up stories to prevent a complaint from being made. I was then threatened with legal action. At that point I decided to take my business elsewhere. I received and e-mail from the owner later in the day and called him. Though polite, the owner said he didn't even want to hear what had happened, instead saying he had to trust the employee. Fair enough. I took my business elsewhere and would recommend everyone else do the same. I loaned this company hundreds of dollars for weeks for the experience of being harassed, filling out mountains of paperwork, and having false accusations leveled against me for requesting state-law required information. On the upside, the owner and supervisor seemed like polite and competent people put in a difficult situation by their employee. Still, unquestionably not recommended.
