Do NOT submit your mental health to College Community Services / Providence Community Services
|
My entire experience with this organization was negative - start (July 2011) to finish (December 2012). This organization is not interested in the slightest about patient care or treatment. They hide their doctors and psychiatrists. They lie to patients. I was told that I was going to see a PhD psychiatrist - she was, in fact, a PhD in Public Administration - (an over-educated bureaucrat) - with NO specific mental health credentials, training, education or experience at all. I was sent to a nurse practitioner and was told he also was a "psychiatrist." After not apologizing for being 23 minutes late for my appointment, this NP prescribed a "mild sleeping pill" that turned out to be Elavil (a strong medication for migraines with a long list of severe side effects) which is contraindicated (not recommended) for my age group at all. I was only ever seen by self-serving managers, supervisor - interns, and counselor - interns, despite testing out for major depression, severe bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic attacks, and PTSD. Get referred elsewhere by your PCP! If you are not court-ordered into Prop 36 programs, you will get nothing from College / Providence employees. This is a nameless, faceless corporation bottom-feeding off taxpayer dollars. Unfortunately the negative experience continues as my attorney has made at least four requests for my patient records, from January 2013 to today. The request has been totally ignored and not a single response given.
