I was at the AAA in Northridge to get some information on vacationing in Hawaii. The receptionist was polite, handed me several maps, and told me the wait would be short to see a travel agent. After 20 minutes of waiting and seeing people walk in and out of the travel area, I asked if they were busy as she had told me there was no one ahead of me. She called over the intercom for someone to help me. Another 10 minutes go by and nothing. I inquired again, this time being not too happy about waiting 30 minutes, and the young lady then went to another woman who was polite and told me someone would soon be with me. She went over to see what the problem was and came back saying she would take me right now to the agent (the agent couldn't bother, I guess). When I walked through the travel area, some people were at their computers. I guess they were too busy to get up to help a client. After being seated, I asked about hotel accommodations and airfare. He was rather rude and gave me the idea I wasn't able to afford the trip so why bother him. He was suppose to be their top travel agent and frankly, he treated me like he was doing me a big favor. I did myself a big favor and left. Booking online sounds good to me.
