Terrible service, worst online buying experience in recent memory
|
Approximately 2 weeks ago I placed an order with Andy's Auto Sport for a pair of Stainless Steel exhaust tips. I placed my order, received the automated response "Thank you for your order" and went about my day. On their site there is no mention of lead time or in stock status, but have heard of them before and figured they would be a good retailer to go through.
3 business days after I placed my order I contacted Andy's regarding more order looking for tracking information for my items. The response I received was "ETA 3/14". That was it. I thought to myself "Ok, that is only 4 more days" so I figured I could wait. 3/14 came and there was no package, or any other correspondence from Andy's. I emailed them again to which they said they were contacting the manufacturer. THEY HADN'T EVEN SHIPPED MY TIPS YET! No word from them back on that so I sent another inquiry to them this morning asking for upgraded shipping and tracking information. I received a response that stated the package SHOULD ship today and that I would have to contact them within the next few days to get confirmation on that.
I was very upset at this point. I contacted Andy's once again in a very professional manner stating that my experience has been less than ideal, and I feel that they should contact me with shipping information as that should not be my responsibility to ask you for that. The order was paid in full and I expect at least a confirmation of shipment. I also stated that if I did not receive confirmation by 8pm that evening, a time past normal ground carrier pickup times, that I would be filing a dispute with my bank and submitting a complaint to the BBB because of the avoidance of my questions. Within my email I also mentioned that there should be some streamlining of processes over there because I feel that this is a common problem.
After all that I got an email from the "manager" saying that my order is being terminated immediately because I was threatening towards employees. I never once mentioned any employee by name and was very polite about the situation. The email signed "manager" had no name so who knows if it was even a real manager. Obviously they don't actually stock any products in house and are trying to drop ship everything.
I hope people find this helpful. Do not order from Andy's if you would like your product in a timely fashion.
